Argumenta non sunt numeranda, sed ponderanda.
After completing my studies, I was convinced that I would make a life for myself abroad and take up employment with one of the many international organisations. However, my life took a different turn.
In the Netherlands, where I was given the opportunity for an internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia at The Hague, I had my first real encounter with legal work in practice. Working for defendants, I soon discovered how much I enjoyed solving real-life problems and that this type of work gives me immense satisfaction. This led me to return to Slovenia, where pursuing a career as an attorney seemed a logical extension of my newly found passion.
Solving highly complex professional issues and scrutinizing every minute detail of a case is a challenge that I enjoy tackling. This process is fulfilling and highly rewarding.
Representing clients before the court is the most appealing part of this profession for me and the job can be very creative if you are well-prepared for hearings, as the more persuasive arguments will win.
